My philosophy on education is to never leave a student without an opportunity and to encourage them to always strive for their best work.  I believe that as educators it is our responsibility to mold, shape and give all the tools necessary for any student to complete a task.  I also think that it is important to build a safe environment in the classroom and to build relationships with the students.  By having a relationship with a group of students it allows for teaching to have more of a natural flow and it gives the teacher the ability to work more closely with students and to met their individual needs as well as teach the designed lesson.  I have found as a youth development worker and secondary education student that it always important to give students a choice and a voice in what they think they need as well as what I know they need.  This means that there is always a second option and that we as educators are willing to adapt to the students but never settle for less than their best work.  After working at a middle school for the last year as a youth development worker I think that teachers have the most important job of encouraging a student and being their motivation and inspiration for succeeding in life!  It is my goal as a teacher to build a relationship with all of my students and allow them to have a voice within my classroom because it is important for them to know that their opinion counts and is important to me.  Music is something that I hope to bring into the classroom and have students to learn to write through music.
